There are a lot of apps out there that attempt to help you get your day in order, but most are not meeting the mark in cohesively combining a Calendar, Reminders and a To-Do List. We take a look at 3 productivity apps that we think you might enjoy using to organize your day with.

Todoist: To-Do List & Tasks

Reminders, day planner & habit

What is it?

Todoist has occupied a spot on your mobile for quite some time now, first releasing way back in January of 2007. It was developed by Doist who also makes the communication app, Twist. It’s one of the more prolific productivity apps out there that can handle just about every aspect of your day. It has some great features like speech to record a task, recurring due dates, assigning tasks in shared projects and color-coded priorities.

What We Like

The integration with other apps is outstanding with over 60 to choose from. You can synch with Dropbox, Amazon Alexa, Zapier, and so many more. We really like the ability to see our daily or weekly progress with productivity graphs that you can customize, and most importantly you can synch your tasks across all your devices. Finally, it just looks pretty and the interface is simple to use.

Calendar, To-Do List and Notes

What is it?

Founded in 2012 by Gilad and Liat, 24me is labeled as a ‘smart personal assistant’. This app is a unified to-do list, calendar and notes all working together. It connects everything such as your bank, social network and utilities and then reminds you of what’s coming next with notifications.

What We Like

The events, tasks, notes and all your accounts get fully synced and just appear on your color-coded calendar. But it doesn’t just synch with iCal or Google, it also works with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Calendar and more. We also like that it works on our Apple Watch and it synchs to all platforms. Finally, it has lots of customization options and the lists are sharable.

Schedule Events, Tasks and Notices

What is it?

Created by the StaySorted company, Sorted³ takes scheduling to the next level by taking your events, tasks, and notes and displaying them in a beautiful timeline that is automatically generated for you. Sorted³’s biggest features are its Auto Schedule, Magic-Select, Time-Ruler and Timeline-View. It seamlessly integrates the most important features and displays them in a user-friendly way.

What We Like

We do like that Sorted³ does most of the finger work for you with its Magic-Select and Auto Scheduling functionality. The grunt work is one thing I’m not a fan of with other productivity apps. It also has a light and dark mode similar to a lot of other apps now adopting too, and of course there’s natural language so you don’t have to type. Finally, it feels clutter-free and just looks nice to the eyes! Currently there is no Android version, but it does sync to your other iCloud devices.
